For more than 80 years the Kitchener-Waterloo & North Waterloo Humane Society has been providing care and shelter and saving the lives of animals in need. Without any government funding the society has become one of the largest humane societies in Ontario with over 18,000 square feet of space to accomedate up to 62 dogs, 119 cats and an assortment of birds, small mammals and reptiles. KWHS strives to provide accessible educational tools to the public about the humane treatment of animals as well as law enforcement for abusive situations.
